After winter, comes spring.  After night, comes day.  After death, comes life.

These beautiful Pysanky Easter Eggs were decorated by Miss Emily, a very remarkable ninety year-old lady.  She has spent her life learning every art and skill she could, from woodcarving to jewel cutting, but her real speciality is egg decorating.  These eggs haven't been blown, so the yolk and egg white are still floating around inside.  (Another reason to make sure I don't break them.)

Pysanky is a Ukrainian art form which uses layers of wax and dyes to gradually create fabulously complex designs on an egg.

Like these.

Happy Easter!  Christus resurrexit!
